YMCA Aquatic Centre
Swimming is one of the best exercises you can do to strengthen, tone and invigorate your entire body – without putting any stress on your joints.

So, splash out with a few refreshing lengths, an invigorating Aqua Aerobics class, or if you’re looking to improve your technique, sign up for some lessons to pick up valuable tips from our qualified swimming instructors.
The Aquatic Centre features three pools.
  • a 4-lane, 25 metre lap pool (approx. 82-83 degrees)
  • a 4 ½ foot deep therapy pool with swirl pool jets, warmed to approximately 91 degrees
  • a 2 ½ foot deep children’s pool with swirl pool jets, low stairs, heated to approximately 88 degrees.
  • There is a second level viewing gallery with seating both in an air conditioned environment and within the pool environment, accessible from the main lobby.

The YMCA Aquatic Centre also features a “VIP change room”, equipped with an adjustable table bed, wheelchair, locker and private toilet. This change room is available to individuals who require assistance and additional space when accessing the pools.

The YMCA aquatic staff is available to facilitate access to the therapy pool and lap pool, using either our water wheelchair or portable lift. For more information, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , Aquatics Director.
